New Call for Papers on Informal and Shared Mobility

Are you researching the intersection of technology, equity, and transport governance? We want to highlight an interesting opportunity for the mobility research community.
A Special Issue is now open for submissions in Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, titled: ”Informal and Shared Mobility: Charting opportunities and challenges in digitization, equity, governance, and sustainable transitions in the Global South.”
In many regions, informal transport is the primary means of mobility. As these systems face rapid changes through digital platforms and new policy frameworks, there is a vital need for interdisciplinary research that explores how to ensure these transitions are both sustainable and equitable.
Key themes include:
- The impact of digitization and platformization on informal transport.
- Equity, gender perspectives, and inclusive mobility.
- Governance and policy innovations for shared systems.
- Decarbonization and the transition to sustainable transport futures.
We encourage our network to explore this call and contribute to this important dialogue on transport in the Global South.
